Game for Peace

Game for Peace is a multiplayer shooting game designed in a less violent manner to suit the Chinese market. It is a less-violent version of the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), developed by Bluehole. PUBG is a multiplayer shooting game that is so violent that it does not pass the content compliance laws in China.

How Did Game for Peace Come to Be?

PUBG was so popular in China when it was first released. However, China has very strict regulations, making the game not profitable at all for the developers. Being unable to generate revenue from the game forced the developers to tweak the game to make it less violent. If you have played PUBG, you will find Game for Peace similar. The gameplay is the same, but there are some differences that make the game different.

To create Game for Peace, the developers used the same core mechanics from PUBG. For instance, players will have to battle 100 other contestants to be the last ones standing. The battle royale fight is a fight to death and weapons are placed on the field for players to use. As with PUBG, Game for Peace players have to eliminate all other players and be the last ones on the field.

The fighting arena reduces in size as more combatants die. This way, the remaining players can find each other with ease for the battle. Players get close to each other to make the battle even more interesting.

How Does this Game Differ from PUBG?

The graphics and several other features of this game are the same as PUBG. However, the level of violence in Game for Peace is low. There is shooting and people use several other weapons, but you will not see blood. Unlike PUBG where opponents die with a pool of blood around them, Game for Peace shows opponents waving at you and leaving you their belongings.

By showing less violence, the game is able to meet the compliance laws in China and the developers can market it and make revenue. Since this game was designed for the Chinese market, the interface is in Chinese, but those who have played any multiplayer shooting games, such as Fortnite, will understand how this game works.

Is Game for Peace Worth Your Time?

If you love a good massive shooter game, you will find Game for Peace interesting. It doesn’t have as much violence as other similar games, but the gameplay is the same. You have several people to battle to be the last one standing, and this is the classic nature of these games. Some people may want the fun that comes with a little violence, but that should not stop you from enjoying the game.

The graphics in Game for Peace are different from what PUBG offers, seeing now there is less violence to illustrate. But, overall, the game will meet your needs. The developers have been able to monetize the game in China while still maintaining the gameplay.
